Lide is a grandfather and a member of Brazil’s Guarani tribe. His community, Pyelito Kuê, was made homeless when its lands were stolen to make way for biofuel plantations and cattle ranching. Plunged into poverty and despair, Lide and his people live under plastic on the side of the road, pushed to the very edge of their ancestral homeland.
Brazil has promised to return Guarani land, but the plantations are still there.
