Dancing for a better future

The Guarani sent us this message direct from a meeting of their community.

Violent invasions by ranchers have devastated the tribe’s territory and nearly all of their land has been stolen. Guarani children starve and their leaders have been assassinated. The chronic poverty and insecurity in which they live has seen an epidemic of suicide among the tribe. Hundreds of Guarani men, women and children have committed suicide for want of their land.

Tribal Voice gives the Guarani a platform to speak to the world, ensuring that they no longer suffer in silence.

Survival uses these messages to put pressure on Brazil to return Guarani land, and to demonstrate that tribal peoples are just like us. As you hear in this video, they, too, are concerned about their quality of life and their children’s futures.

But we need your help.

Please donate, so Survival can continue giving a voice to threatened tribal peoples worldwide.
